Hi, purslane is not a weed, it is a very tasty green, much used in Mexican cuisine. It has a slightly bitter green taste, such as spinach. How to prepare/cook, family of about 4 to 6: Gather a large amount, about 5 to 10 plants, leave the root and thicker branch to continue growing. Remove the leaves from the stem. Steam the leaves in a little water with a little salt, garlic and pepper. When the leaves are cooked/steamed, sautee with cubed onion, tomato, chilli flakes. Add “suero sal” ir milk and some cheese. You may also add some fresh made beans. So good!
