Q.Why Is My Muscadine Vine Growing Roots Above Ground?
Why is my Muscadine vine growing numerous roots along the branch well over a foot above the soil? The leaves are beginning to yellow and the grapes are shriveling! I have lost several large branches this year. No evidence of pests or leaf damage. Was 100% healthy last year. The roots are over a foot long! Nearby plants are Passion Fruit vines and Elderberry. The Muscadine vines are nearly 30 years old and have never had this problem before. Should I try to keep the roots wet or bury them?
