Q.Why Does My Banana Pepper Plant Look Like It’s Growing Blueberries?

I planted 2 banana pepper plants back in April. The plants are now about 1 1/2 tall. There are no peppers growing but there are little bunches of green balls and purple balls that resemble tiny blueberries. I don’t like blueberries and would not plant them. I have these pants growing in a raised garden bed. I’m confused on what the plant actually is.
