Q.What Kind Of Mushrooms Are These Growing In My Flower Bed

Zone 79347 | Anonymous added on September 2, 2023 | Answered

These are growing in a flowerbed that I replaced all the potting so I’ll along with mulch this year. They have just begun the last 10days. There is more everyday but seems to be gone by night. Are the harmful to pets or humans?

This looks to be Coprinellus or Coprinopsis. They are not harmful unless you eat them while drinking alcohol. There is no reason to get rid of them, as they are helping to break down organic material. I would suggest allowing them to continue on.
