Q.What Is This Plant And Is The Yellowing Normal For Fall Or Is There Another Problem?

Zone Detroit, Michigan | RA added on September 25, 2020 | Answered

We are rank amateur gardeners and have inherited this garden. No idea about this plant and what is normal for it. It has been pretty dry the last few weeks and we have been watering every few days. We have 4 of these and three are looking like this; the fourth looks normal.

It looks like one of many plants in the lily family! It will be hard to say, exactly, which without seeing the flower, root mass, seed, and other details that would allow for a proper identification.

Most lilies have similar care, but this one looks to have been overwatered, or even overfed. Both can cause this damage.
