Q.What Is This Growing In My Yard
We recently reseeded sections of our lawn which suffered from the draught in our area. Now I’m seeing something growing which I cannot identify and it is taking over our lawn. You can see from photos that very little grass can be seen but quite a bit of this growth. Can you help?

It's either carpetweed or chickweed coming up. Either way you will want to get rid of it. Grass seed often has a percentage of weed seeds included. You can see the percentage of weeds on the container in the ingredient list. Since you are growing new grass, you need to wait before using an herbicide. Wait till you have mowed three or four times.
