Q.What Happens After A Dwarf Banana Flowers?

Once a particular pseudostem bears a artichoke-like flower, is that shute then dead? Do I cut it out? I love the height they’ve achieved but don’t seem to be growing new leaves? Please Help!

Once flowering is done, that cluster of growth will start to die back. It is best to leave it until it dies off, completely, though. Cutting living growth is not advised, since banana plants are very susceptible to infections.
