Should the blossoms still be falling off my zucchini after about 4 weeks of blooming? Could slugs be the problem? I have plenty of bees for pollination. Not any sign of fruit after blooming at least a month!

I have been told that cutting some stems off of a zucchini plant leaves the plant open to borers. The plant is getting huge and I'd prefer to prune it rather than letting it take over the whole garden-- that's what the above-mentioned person told me to do, which I think is way too hippie.

The last time I grew zucchini, the plant was doing well, producing a lot and then all of a sudden it just started wilting. When I was disposing of the wilted plant, I found a white worm in the base of the plant. What can I do to repel this little critter?

My zucchini plant has such big leaves in a small garden. Would it harm the plant to remove a few leaves?

It is also happening on my yellow squash. The plants are big but a lot of the leaves die off or yellow.
Both my young zucchini and pepper plant leaves as of today, the edges are a lightish tan and they have dark and some brown dead crunchy spots on them. What can I do to save my plants and what is causing this? Thank you very much for helping me.
They may not be getting enough water. I would increase water to the plants. It is also possible that it is a fungus causing this. Just in case, treat the plants with a fungicide.
