When zoysia grass goes to seed in the spring, how long is it until the seed is ready to disperse? I am holding off cutting the zoysia until the seed is ready.
Zoysia takes about a month to ripen seeds, but this is not a recommended method of turf maintenance. Please see the following article: http://web.extension.illinois.edu/askextension/thisQuestion.cfm?ThreadID=14493&catID=154&AskSiteID=34
Our Zoysia grass is dying. It started in a small area and keeps spreading. We were told it probably was grub worms so we sprayed two times with Permetrol and watered afterwards. That was about 2 weeks ago and the grass is still dying. It just keeps moving out from the original dying spot. What do you think is the problem and how do we deal with it? We have a lot of money and time invested in our lawn and are afraid we are going to lose it all.
It is likely a fungus. I have zoysia grass mixed with other grass. It was planted years ago with bulbs. I have a weed problem. Am I able to use fertilizer with weed killer in it or will this kill the zoysia grass also?
You can use weed and feed on the grass but, before considering conventional methods, try hand pulling, pouring boiling water over them or spraying them with white vinegar to kill them. Here is an article that you may find helpful as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/weeds/conventional-weed-killers.htm
Why is my zoysia grass turning yellow? It was laid down last year and was doing fine until last week when it started turning yellow. Thank you for your help.

We have zoysia grass we planted last fall and it is brown and dark yellow on over half the yard. We don't know what to do.

What to spray on zoysia to get rid of trash.
If by trash you mean broad-leafed weeds, you need to use an herbicide that is specific to broad-leaf plants, and safe for grass. Here are two articles with more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/weeds/pre-emergent-herbicides.htm

Be sue to read the labels carefully, and follow instructions exactly.
Does Zoysia Grass continue to grow after a hard freeze? Our golf course has mowed our fairways real short and we just had a hard freeze and frost. I'm concerned that we will not get any more growth and our fairways could be in trouble.
Zoysia is a warm season grass, so it should be going dormant with the onset of cold or freezing temps anyway. Once the temps warm back up in spring, the zoysia should green back up again.
