On your gardeningknowhow.com website are mentioned bracts and rosettes on the Zebra Plants. What are these?
The flowers are produced at the terminal end of a stem in a 4 sided yellow spike that has bracts that overlap like shingles.
The flowers protrude from a waxy yellow spike and only last a few days. The showy bract remains showy for 6 to 8 weeks.
I bought a beautiful zebra plant late last fall. It had beautiful, healthy leaves but no (yellow) flowers. Since then, most of the leaves have fallen off, living only small leaves at the tops of each branch. What might I being doing wrong?
It would be hard to tell without a picture. I would have to guess that you have either a soil pH issue, or an insect issue. Could you give any more information and possibly a picture. This can help me better help you.
This above plant was purchased a few days go and is now drooping. I think the cause is over watering. Is there anything i can do at this stage to revive the plant.? Wold much appreciate some advice. Thank you.
Yes, drooping is generally caused by overwatering.
Make sure the container and soil are draining the excess water. You can carefully lift the root ball and let the soil dry on a stack of newpaper if it is very wet.
Allow the soil to dry.

I've had a zebra plant for quite a while and it grows new leaves from the top only, therefore looking like a tree.
When the flowers die down, remove them and trim the stem and leaves down from the top to encourage branching. Try to leave two rows of leaves if you have that many at the top.

The zebra plant leaves kept falling, I was over watering last year so for 8-10 months now I’ve only been watering when needed, but I only have 5 leaves on top, new ones do come out but old ones fall and there is at least 10 inches of empty stem before the leaves start at the top!
There are several reasons this can happen. Read this article to learn about them. You may be able to just pinch off new growth at the top to force it to bush out a bit.
