Looking for help on what to do to the vine before winter.
Really, they do not need much prep for winter. You can choose to prune it back now, but that may decrease the amount of blooms next year.
It's beginning of fall and I wonder if I can trim the excessive wisteria seed pods now and will this delay flowers blooming? Please advise.
You can prune them and it will not hurt the plant. This article will help you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/pruning-wisteria.htm
I live in Michigan and have a new wisteria. What care should I provide for winter? I have heard to cover it with burlap. Is that true?
Typically, a wisteria does not need any winter care, but since yours is a new planting, wrapping in burlap will help ensure it makes it through the winter. But after the plant is established, they are fine without additional protection.
I have a wisteria growing up around a pergola. It's lovely and green but has small flowers and not very many. What am I doing wrong? And also when to prune?
It may simply be in need of some phosphorus, which helps with blooming. Bone meal is good for this. This article will help as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/wisteria-blooming-problems.htm
This article will help with pruning:

We have a 40/50 year old Wisteria, which has put on a wonderful show each May. But this year, after flowering, it did not put on its usual summer growth and its leaves are shrivelled and have now turned yellow before the fall. It does not look its usual healthy self. Any ideas?

Anonymous...just so happens I was reading about my wisteria problems earlier. This is the site I was able to get help.
Can I cut a branch of this plant to plant? If yes, should I put it in water first and wait until roots grow and plant it? Does it kill the tree it wraps itself into? When is the right time to plant it? I don't see them being sold in Pike's Nursery, Home Depot and Lowe's. This is if I can't plant a cutting from the vine.
Yes, they can be propagated from cuttings. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/propagating-wisteria-cuttings.htm
When is the proper time to plant wisteria? I have built a small Bamboo arbor and thinking of planting 2 plants, one on each side of this 6 foot high, approx. 6 foot wide, 6 ft. deep structure. Will 2 plants be enough?
