I rent a garden plot in the community. Many people use grass clippings between the rows to control weeds. We do not have a bagger and I can't seem to find people I know who bag. Is there something else I can use or a product I can buy?
There are many different ways to control weeds. Close mowing, mulching, putting down rock or pine needles, choking them out by using a garden fabric, or sprinkling corn meal. Vinegar is a natural weed killer and used with epsom salt and blue dawn dish soap can combat weeds. The mixture is 1 gallon white vinegar, 2 cups multi purpose epsom salt, and 1/4 cup blue dawn dish soap. Make sure not to spray it on your plants as it will kill them. Good Luck!
My son has some sturdy weeds under his deck that come through the boards. He cut them, poured kerosene gas and weed killer but it comes back even stronger. Need help.
Here are a couple of links with a few ideas. Using kerosine and gasoline is extremely dangerous and would not be recommended.

I'm helping a neighbor with backyard landscaping. The first step for me was to deal with the weeds. First, I sprayed Round Up weed killer. Then a week later I found that there were green weeds around where I sprayed. So I proceeded to dig them out with a tool. My question is, do I really need to do this? Since most of the area is going to be covered with visqueen and landscaped with rocks, I figure the weeds would die on their own from lack of sun and water. Most of them are dead due to the Round Up.
Working to remove weeds and prep an area for a landscape project is very important.
This is often the least 'fun' part of a project and is easy to talk yourself out of the work.
In the long run, and the beauty of your future landscape project, don't skip the prep work.
And very kind of you to help out a neighbor!

Weeds and grass have took my garden over. Is there something I can put on it to kill all the weeds and grass and still be able to eat veggies?
Unfortunately the weeds have to be pulled out of your vegetable garden to safely remove them.
If the soil has been watered it can make the task easier. Remove the entire roots and often times you will need to dig out a long tap root.
Use mulch to help smother the weeds from returning.

I am seeking for something that will stay in the soil and stop growth of everything. I have heard that Rock salt will do this. Can you confirm this and what kind, brown or white? Thank you
