We have a new puppy at our house. Every time I let him outside, when I go out to look for him, he is always laying in a small patch of wild Wandering (green) Jew. It is under my bedroom window that has the air conditioner in it. The puppy is a Husky, but I am sure any dog would hang out there because it is moist and shady, probably the coolest spot in the yard. While Zeplin (the puppy) lies in the grass and Wandering Jew, he plays in it and always pulls off leaves and chew on them. It has been a long time since I have had a baby anything and I regretfully say my baby proofing skills have diminished. Please let me know if the Wandering Jew is poisonous or dangerous in any way, also any other type of weed or outside plant.
The complete listing of toxic plants as shown by the ASPCA, lists wandering jew as toxic to dogs. However, this list doesn't take into account the varying levels of toxicity possible. The list furnished by the UC Davis Veterinary School doesn't list wandering jew at all. In my opinion, the animals can munch an occasional leaf and not suffer much more than a barf, unless they happen to be allergic. Hopefully, these article will shed some light on the subject for you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/plants-poisonous-to-dogs.htm
I have an enclosed back porch where I bring flowers onto in the winter - probably goes no lower than 40-45 degrees.
Your plant should be perfectly happy there. This article has more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/wandering-jew/growing-wandering-jew-outdoors.htm
Should I pinch back my outside hanging plant and bring inside for the winter to return outside come spring? I live in north Georgia.
Sina, that plant is absolutely gorgeous. Yes, you'll want to bring it in, and pinching back some will probably be helpful. You can use those trimmings to start a new pot. You'll want to gradually acclimate the plant to lower light, too. This article will give you some pointers: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/acclimate-plants-indoors-winter.htm

What temperature can your wandering jew be in?
We have an abundance of purple queen and have been digging out roots and know this kills, but it's time consuming. Is there any spray or such to kill these wonderful but very hardy plants?
You could spray them with glyphosate (Round-up), but apply with care; as they can kill other plants besides purple queen. The article below will tell you how to apply Round-up without causing harm to other plants nearby.

However, I would recommend having other people do the work for you: I do know that many people would love to have purple queen so perhaps you could enlist interested family, friends, co-workers, neighbors to come over and dig up a plant for themselves.
I just bought a wandering Jew plant in a hanging basket. Can I keep it outside and in sun, partial sun, shade. . . where? Or do you not recommend it?
Since these are houseplants (which can spend summer outdoors), I would keep them in a sheltered location with bright, indirect light--no direct sun. Also, keep it well watered. Hanging baskets need daily watering outdoors.
My wandering Jew is an outdoor plant. It flowered again this year, yet not as beautifully as it has in the last couple of years. I have never done anything with the flowers and this year it wasn't as showy as last year. What I need to know is if I should pinch back the flowers. If so, where do I pinch? Thanks for any advice you have!
Here is a great article that will help you.
