This is my first time growing a vegetable garden from seed. My yellow squash and zucchini have developed some sort of virus, but I can't seem to determine for sure which type it is, or how to handle it. I'm so disappointed and would appreciate any advice!
I'm sorry your squash and zucchini plants aren't doing well!

My little squash are turning yellow and rotting at tip. What is problem? Planted in hills. Has sun most day. Plants are green and lush.
There are two main possibilities: lack of fertilization or blossom end rot.
With the scarcity of bees these days, it is possible that your squash flowers are not getting fertilized efficiently. In this case the tiny unfertilized squash will stop growing and eventually rot. To fix this, you can fertilize by hand or plant bee-attracting flowers nearby.
The other possibility is blossom end rot, a disorder caused by deficiency of calcium in the growing fruit. Please see this article for advice: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/squash/squash-blossom-end-rot-causes-and-treatment.htm
Pumpkin and squash plants were happy and growing like crazy. Last week I noticed slight discoloration on the leaves, but thought it was due to the weather being above 95 every day. Went to water plants today and the disease is spreading rapidly. Both plants watered three times weekly by hand/hose. Both plants have developed normal healthy looking fruit that I would like to keep. Can you please let me know the disease and suggestions to eradicate this disease? Thank You Tobie

Once the vine borer has attacked the plant and the plant is almost entirely affected, will the squash that have started to grow just rot or die off or will they still grow?
It most cases the plant and the fruit will be lost if it is infested with the pests.

I have almost no blooms on the squash plants and it seems no pollen on these that do bloom, but tons of fruit that is falling off going to waste. No male blooms on squash plants.
I'm sorry your squash plants aren't producing well for you! This is usually due to extreme heat or water deprivation, or some combination of both.
If your average temperatures this year have been higher than normal, you should increase your watering and take steps to help protect your plants from the excessive heat.

My yellow squash plant has plenty of blossoms, appears to be very healthy, but I have no fruit starts. What can I do to get fruit?
Pollinate, pollinate and pollinate. It's all about the bees when it comes to squash, and if you have flowers but no fruit, it means the bees have not been visiting your plants. You'll need to start hand-pollinating your blooms. This article will walk you through how:

I'm growing squash, and although they're growing nicely, they're green with a fur-like texture to them. Why is that?
