Can I plant squash seeds in a tub on my deck in order to get the BLOSSOMS? I don't need the actual squash. It's the blossoms I'm after ~ a wonderful vegetable in its own right. Can this be done? Would I get many blossoms this way or just a few? Thank you.
Yes, you can plant squash in a container.
The Male flowers are the ones you want to harvest to eat.

Last year I grew Futsu and Cushaw (Green/White Stripe) in close proximity to each other and collected the seeds. This year I have grown what seems to be a hybrid from the Futsu seeds. Please comment with your opinion. Thanks.
There certainly could be cross pollination and many times hybrid seeds will reproduce different from the mother plant.
I've read your comments on cross pollination and still would like a little clarification. I have many squash-like volunteer plants in my garden. I collect compost from some people who don't compost, so I'm not entirely sure what seeds I may be getting! It seems that it's likely from what I've read here, that melons and squash will cross pollinate, and that means I could very well have useless fruit in my garden. Would that be correct? Thanks!
Yes, you are correct, you may not have any fruit that forms an edible fruit.
You also could be pleasantly surprised!
When are different types of squash ripe for harvest? I thought I planted acorn and summer squash but they are all green. Do I just wait and let turn "yellow or orange"?

I planted seeds from a squash I ate, was a delicate, but plants look rounder than what I ate. Other squash also planted. Treat as if delicata? Or cross pollinated?
Likely the original squash was a hybrid so the seeds will not match the parent plant.
Enjoy the new squash!
I'm growing squash plants for the first time. There are yellow flowers now but I see tiny black bugs inside them. Should I be worried?
Regardless of the pest, neem oil should help with this. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm
My squash are going soft while they are small.
