I don't see any black spots or mildew, and the yellow pattern does not cover all the leaves - only a few.
Yellowing is a sign of stress in rose leaves so there is no simple answer to your question. Read the attached article on rose leaf yellowing. If you don't find an answer that fits your situation, take a small cane or several leaf clusters to your extension service office. The Master Gardeners and extension staff may be able to pinpoint the cause. Find your county's extension office at this website: Extension.Search.org

Hi I live in zone 7A Texas. The soil here is sandy and has rocks in it. So I am thinking about planting roses in pots. What size pots do I need and what material is good for it -- plastic, wood, clay, stone?
I would avoid containers made from stone or cement as these heat up in the sun and transfer the heat to roots. Not good. Glazed ceramic is heavy but good looking. However, ceramic and terra cotta can crack when temps go below freezing. Remember that contain plants are considered one hardiness zone colder than your actual zone. Since you are in 7a, make sure to get a rose that is hardy to zone 6 if you will be keeping it outdoors in winter. Started in roses years ago probably because of overwatering in that area in garden. Pulled them all up. But I see it reappearing in other flowers planted in same area ( which is no longer being overwatered). Example. Peonies currently.

I have a rose bush in my garden that gives lovely roses every year. This year it started doing well with the purple leaves in abubdance when I had repairs done to my fence and the contractor obviously disturbed it to fix spurs to the fence as it is now looking very wilted and droopy. I tried watering it but it seemed to make it worse and the leaves are now yellow. Can it be saved? Thank
If it’s in a pot then repot it into dry soil ASAP and if it’s in the soil then buy some rose bush fertilizer and make sure the soil dries out. Any leaf curl? If so then send some photos.
