Can you tell me why my rhododendron blooms in deep pink but after about two weeks the blooms turn white and remain that colour until they start to drop off. The soil is slightly sandy.
This is normal with almost all flowers. They will naturally fade with age, until they drop. This is no cause for concern, and is completely normal in most varieties.
Hi! One of my rhododendron is root bound in a medium sized pot. It has grown very fast over the past 2 years. I don't want to buy a larger pot as the one it's in was meant to be it home for some years to come at least. I mean the pot it is in was not cheap. It has finished flowering and been dead headed. It was looking ok until tonight when I checked it the leaves are drooping and curling slightly. So I believe this is due to the tight position of the roots. Can I lift it out and trim the roots now or do I have to wait until it is dormant bearing in mind the drooping leaves.? I have watered it as it felt dry also. Thank you.
Unfortunately you will need to increase the container of your potted Rhododendron to ensure it's continued health.
This article will help you.

Can rhododendrons grow around black walnut trees?
Hello,
Thank you for sending us your gardening question.
Black walnut trees have chemical properties in leaves and roots that can suppress the growth of other plants. This is called "allelopathy". Some plants are more susceptible to the allelopathic effect from black walnut than others, rhododendrons (including azaleas) are known to be affected.
This article has a section on allelopathic trees and discusses black walnut:

Good morning. Can you please tell me what these plants are? The flowers on both are already fading as you can see so they are spring flowering plants. The potted one came back after last year but the bush is new. Can you also confirm how to trim them for next year if they are both perrenials? Thank you Dave
The first photo of the flowering shrub is rhododendron. The second is a type of dicentra. There are many species and it will be hard to pintpoint the exact cultivar.
These two articles will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/rhododendron/rhododendron-care.htm
This will be the closest species to your dicentra, and will have similar care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/dutchmans-breeches/dutchmans-breeches-wildflower.htm
The rhododendron has always been a deep pink/rose color. This year some of the flowers are close to white in color.
Sometimes this can happen over time as a plant ages. These two articles will help:

How to start a touch bush, transplant from older bush. After fall can I cut off ends and start in 5gal buckets?
You can start cuttings from these, but I would say to start with six inch cuttings and put them in 4, or 6 inch containers. A 5 gallon container, or any large amount of soil for that matter, will bring about way too many problems with how much to water, when, and keeping fungal infections away from wet soil that has no roots in it yet to absorb that moisture.
I am going to include a couple of articles that will help here:

why are the leaf tips on my "small leaf rhododendrom 'Olga Mezzitt' hybrid turning bronze?
Hello, this can be due to over-fertilization, or signs of a fungal infection. If the area has been wet for too long, I would be inclined to believe that this is the case. Treat the area with dolomitic lime, and wettable sulfur, and it will make a recovery. Here is an article for information on proper care of the plant: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/rhododendron/rhododendron-care.htm
