So confused. We have several different potted plants in our new apartment and want to know if there’s one potting mix for all. We have a Pathos, Monstera, ZZ Plant, Snake plant, and Majestic Palm.
All of them will do well with a general potting mix, but can benefit from mixing a potting mix with an orchid mix. This will allow better drainage to help prevent overwatering, which will be the main cause of most issues with all of these plants.
Here are some articles that will help you with their care:

I've heard different answers from different sources. Some pothos look so similar to each other that it's hard to differentiate.
It looks like Epipremnum ‘Pearls and Jade’ evidenced by the white and silver variegation.
The stems on my pothos plant which I have had for more than two years have recently developed brown bumps. Otherwise it appears quite healthy.
Without seeing it, I am guessing it's some kind of scale. You'll need to treat the plant with neem oil or insecticidal soap. Here's an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/control-plant-scale.htm
little water and they pick up very nicely. However, the lower leaves then turn yellow. I can't win. Does it matter that currently it is winter?
You may not have the watering down just right. Water them thoroughly, until water drains out the drainage holes, then allow the soil to dry before watering again. Be sure to drain off any water in the trays below the containers. In winter they need less water because it takes longer to dry out.
And make sure they are getting the proper light. Too much sun will yellow the leaves. Here is care information that should help:

I just bought 2 cuttings (pathos and heart shaped philodendron) from a girl and they already have roots. I was planning to put them in water but I read that once they have roots they need to be planted in soil. Is this true? If so can I plant both plants in the same 8inch pot and separate them later as they get bigger? (I only have the one pot right now) what else should I know about planting and caring for them?
I would make sure to plant them in separate containers so that they do not overcrowd, too, quickly. These articles will help:

Hello, I would like to ask for your help on what to do regarding the condition of my photos plant. It has black veins growing and Im not sure if this is normal.
It doesn't look bad. Maybe a bacterial infection trying to set in. These plants are pretty resistant to them, though they do prefer things to remain on the dry side. Be sure to let the soil dry down to about halfway down the container, fully, between waterings. This is what will help them to perform their best.
This article will help you to care for the plant:

The little black bumps... Roots only.
It is attempted growth, but it looks bacterial. I would put a squirt of peroxide in the water that you are rooting this in.
