Why does the 6 month old passionfruit vine in full sun all day with plenty of leaf growth not bear fruit even though flowers open (in tropical Far North Queensland)? The soil is fertilized but retains moisture as it is a bit clay-like.

A grown plant has been over trimmed to the extent that only a stump is remaining. How can I help it sprout again?
Check the stem to see if it is still alive by scratching the bark.

Something is eating my passion fruit buds. I’m on Oahu, Hawaii. Help??!
There could be a number of pests that will do this. You can spray them with neem oil, as long as you do not do this in full sun. You can also boil sliced hot peppers, let this cool, strain, and spray them with this.
Either of these methods will work for ridding most pests, but it would be hard to know, exactly, what caused this without seeing the culprit.
Thanks, BushDoctor,
I'm trying to identify the culprit.
I transplanted a vine to a large pot. It has been 3 days and the leaves are withered. I have watered. Will it come back?
Passion Flower Vines roots go very deep and it is important to dig as much of the roots as possible.
Make sure the soil is moist but not soggy. The soil and container should be well draining.

My plant is called Passiflora Caerulea climber will I be okay if I cover it with straw or should I bring it inside, again many thanks.
We use the Fahrenheit system, so I did a little conversion to Celcius and it seems that most of them will survive down to about 17 degrees C without much extra help. If you are in an area colder than this, then you may consider growing this in container or heavily mulching over winter.
