My three pots of pampas grass arrived limp and are still in the 9 cm pots. I've bought John Innes compost and some bone meal so I'm wondering should I repot them into the 1.5 cm pot to grow for a little longer inside as it's really cold here. Thanks for any suggestions and help most welcome. First time at giving gardening a go.
The shipping is stressful for the plants, but giving them air and water they should perk up in the existing pots. You must mean 15 cm pots and not 1.5. If so then re-potting now may help by providing more soil volume and therefore more moisture to facilitate getting a root system established.
So really thought time to ask the expert again. If this is okay to plant three in my front garden how far would I space them. So want this plant to be my main and only feature so want do get it right. Thank you for your time and help.
It really depends on the size of your yard and if you have space and are prepared for how big they can get. Here's an article that you should read and take the issues of size seriously. There are smaller varieties of ornamental grasses available, in case you have any doubts about suitability for the large growing pampas grass.

I ordered? these seeds from amazon and they are ornamental so dont think they grow as big.
Only dwarf cultivars will stay shorter than typical. If these are not labeled as such, then you can expect to see a full sized grass.

use weed fabric? (No pesticides) Removed about 150 lbs of runners (as thick as your finger!!!) I don’t want to do it again! Would like to plant a mini flowering crab apple....what do you advise? What type of weed barrier should i use???
I would use a combination of things to kill it off! Boiling water will be the first thing. Pour this on the spot twice a day for a few days, just for good measure.
After the boiling water treatment, I would cover it with plastic for a few weeks at the least. This will help to solarize and kill off any remaining seeds, or runners.

It may be a fungal infection. Here is an article on pampas grass - check your growing conditions against the info here. Here also is an article about a grass that would do better in your climate - Ravengrass.

Hi, I bought 3 pampas grass plants from Gurneys.com back in March of 2019. I planted them in 3 planters where they grew great all of 2019. I cut them down in December, however it is the last week of April and none of them have sprouted. All the other trees and flowers in Nashville are in full bloom. Why isn't my pampas growing anymore? Is there a way to revive it?
These need to be cut in Spring, so that the old growth protects the crown over winter. You will prune the grass as it starts to get its new growth in Spring.
Unfortunately, it may have suffered from the frost. This will be especially true for container grown Pampas Grass.
Replanting may be necessary, unfortunately.

I was reading your blog on this grass. I bought on a website because i thought it was ok for zone 6. I live in west Michigan near grand haven, close to lake. I see on your blog cannot do well overwinter. So i have ordered the seeds, and was going to grow in pots and then plant in spring. Would it be better to leave in a pot buried in the mulch, so i can bring inside in winter? And if so, what size pot should i use? I'm new to this so would appreciate Ny advice you can give me Thank you
We have just the article that will help you with the care of these in container:
