When I bought the plant it has lots of flowers on it. After planting it to ground, the flowers faded. The first photo is when I bought it. The following following photos are after it has been in the ground. Am I doing something wrong or its over its blooming phase. I can see some new leaves coming out. Should I prune it?
This is perfectly normal. Yes, now would be the appropriate time to prune, also.
Hello. I am interested in planting some adzuki beans. I would like to plant them now, as in my country (Portugal), it is said to be the correct time to do it. However, I have read that the adzuki plant is non transplantable, for which I should plant it on where I want it to be permanently. However, I would like to plant quite a few until they grow just a bit and offer some to a friend, who would plant them in a garden, instead of a pot. So, my question is, if I use some nursery bags (like the ones in the image), can I change the plants from a vase to ground, just by cutting the bag and placing the plant (without removing the soil already around its roots) in a right sized hole? Or will the plant be dead for sure? Thanks for any response! ?
What you can do is plant it in a cardboard container, or something that is marketed as biodegradable. This will allow you to transplant without disturbing the roots in any way. This would be the safest way to do so, since the container will dissolve in the soil after some time.
It would be so helpful if you would also list the common names of plants in the plant descriptions. Not all of us are master gardener's and are not familiar with the scientific names. Also a photo of the whole plant would be most helpful. Thanks!
In most articles; both common and botanical names are both listed.
Did you find a specific article that you are referencing?

I have a plant that was given to me, see picture, it flowered now I would like to move it outside, I think it's a bulb?? Not sure how do I know when to put it outside and how do I care for it now so it doesn't die.
This appears to be an Amaryllis, however without flowers it can be difficult to tell.
This article will give you advice on what to do after they flower: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/amaryllis-hippeastrum/amaryllis-care-after-flowering.htm
There is nothing more to add. Just wondering if I did it right and will it come back?
Hmmm, could you give us a bit more information? What plant are you referencing?
I don't know the name of my plant, but it's my only one, a gift from 10+yrs ago. Not sure if it can be saved but I must try. I transplanted it 9?months ago into a larger pot with no draining holes. It was doing good for quite awhile. Then the soil got low & I had none. The roots/stems above the soil started to die. They got hard, brittle with new growth on the ends. Covered them with dried, no caffeine tea leaves. More new growth. Even flowered for the first time since I moved here 2yrs ago. But stems are still dead. The new growth started to go limp & when I removed the dead leaves, the new growth came right off the dead stems/roots above the soil. I've been making little holes to put the new growth in, but it's not enough. I'm losing my plant. Also keep cutting off the dead stuff, as the new growth falls off. The new growth falls off @the lightest movement.I try to water under the leaves, then spray them.I can only think it's the pot. No rocks or draining. But can it be saved? Please, please, please.I hope you can tell me. Thanks April Sheppard Hamilton ON
I will need a plant name or image to help you.
You can upload pictures along with your question.
My friends just bought a new house and found three wooden posts in the garden. Each post is surrounded by narrow metal tubes (maybe 1cm / half an inch wide) that are 10cm above the ground. We're assuming that they're to support *something* but have no idea what. We thought they might be for climbing plants, but the three posts are in an odd triangular formation which seems weird for plants. Any ideas?
The ground does not appear to be disturbed for any type of planting.
Not sure what these would have been for! I would contact the previous homeowner and ask!
