I’m looking at different things I could do to make a pretty front door piece. My front door is down some steps where the stairwell is open and exposed to whatever light can come in as well as a front door area wall sconce that stays on when it gets darker. I should also mention I live in Seattle. So this decor would get zero direct light, just heavily filtered “light” as it escapes down the stairs. Could I still potentially use moss? With that kind of low light and it does dip to the 30s here in winter. Alternately, can moss survive in a windowless bathroom? Thank you!
That might be enough light for moss. It only needs light shade. In a windowless bathroom, you could add artificial light.

Is this website primarily for Florida gardens? Are you based on Florida?
No, the originator of the site lives in Iowa, but the staff is located all over the U.S., and I believe at least one is overseas.
Our information is based on the free publications provided by each state's University Cooperative Extension Service. Many of the plants we highlight are grown worldwide, so our service can benefit people beyond the U.S. We get questions from all over the world, particularly the U.K., Australia and even New Zealand.
I know moving it is not encouraged but when can it be done for the good of the plant. I live in East Texas. It’s in full bloom.
Actually, it is acceptable to dig up, remove and divide any portion of the plant that grows outside of its bounds.
Doing so may help keep it manageable.
Here is an article for more information on the plant:

I have an iPhone 12, but am unable to obtain the GHK Gardening Companion app from the iTunes Store. How can I obtain it? Thanks in advance for your response. Joan Kellett
The app has been discontinued, but all of the information can be found on the gardeningknowhow.com. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I have an iPhone 12 and am unable to download the GKH Gardening Companion app. When I click the download link on my iPhone, the error message, "App Not Available: This app is currently not available in your country or region." is displayed. I live in New Jersey, USA. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
We are sorry. We no longer have the app, but all of our information can be found on the site! Sorry for any inconvenience!
I would like to write information about the plant on the seed packet.
Unfortunately, we do not offer specific places for purchase.
I would recommend checking local craft stores, or online vendors for seed envelopes!
PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND PEAT FOR PLANTING. Peat bogs are vital for our environmental health. Peat is unnecessary for plants. Being such a big gardening site, please recommend peat-free planting mix. Thank you so much! Robin
In order to provide information for all gardeners, for all preferences, and all regions, we must include information for gardening with peat. There are certain applications, such as with carnivorous flytraps and Nepenthes, that can, only, grow in peat. These cases will, also, require the use of it.
We do offer alternatives, as well, but to be fair to ALL gardeners we must offer information on peat, as well.
