Sprays that contain potassium soap of fatty acids and that are mixed automatically when attached to a hose are effective at killing lichens. After coating the lichens with the soapy solution, scrub with a brush with semi-hard bristles and clean with plain water. Or test the waters with this method: in an affected section hidden from view, spray with hydrogen peroxide and scrub the area clean. If there is no damage from the spray, use it on all other areas. Scrub the area regularly to minimize the chances of a return. Review what is causing the area to be so humid that it attracted the lichen. See this link of sprays: https://www.whatsinproducts.com/chemicals/view/1/3945

Vinegar and soap traps work well for smaller insects, but that resembles small hairs or lint. Does it fly? If it is lint, then I would recommend an air filter, or carbon filter. They will help to clean the air of larger particulate.

We don't recommend products or vendors, but you can buy Neem oil in any home improvement store or big box store in the garden department. It is sometimes hard to find during the winter. It is available from online sellers, as well.
