I am finding an orangish, centipede type bug on my Mandevilla. What is it and how to do I get rid of it?
Don't know the name of it, but neem oil or a carbaryl insecticide like Sevin will kill them. Bt works as well.
We have a new mandevilla and want to harvest the seeds. How do you do this?

Tips on pruning mandevilla plants.
All you need to do is trim away any unwanted vines with a sharp pair of pruners. Do not trim away more than 1/3 of the plant.
What to do about lice-type, reddish orange bug on mandevilla vine?
I would recommend treating the plant with neem oil. This is an effective (and organic) insecticide/fungicide. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm
Is the mandevilla plant (Aloha White) poisonous to animals if they eat the plant? We have sheep and goat.
It is considered in the list of poisonous plants, but allegedly its toxicity is very low, and no severe symptoms would result from ingesting it. However, to be on the safe side, I would try to keep the animals from going near it by adding a barrier or removing the plant.
How do I winter over a mandevilla plant that is in the ground? I live in east-central Georgia. Thanks.
These plants are normally treated as annuals when planted outdoors where winters drop below 50 degrees F. However, it may be possible for you to dig it up and replant it in a container so that it may be brought indoors for overwintering. You can also sink the container back into the ground once temps rise again in spring.
I live in Southern California. Last year I bought a Mandevilla and planted it outside on a trellis. It grew to fill the whole trellis and was filled with beautiful flowers all summer. Over the winter most all the leaves on the whole bottom half of the plant fell off, leaving just bare stems. Our winter never got to below 50 degrees. It is not cold here at all. Is there any way I can get my plant to return to the beautiful one it was last year? Will the leaves grow back on their own? If I cut all the branches off near ground level, will they grow back and produce flowers like last year? Will it ever get flowers again?
If the stems are still green and pliable, they will regrow their leaves quickly in the spring. If they are still alive, I would not cut it back. The plant will start to flower when the weather warms up. If the stems are brown and brittle, then they are dead and it would be best to cut them back to the ground (or where ever you see green wood). The stems tend to regrow rapidly when the weather warms up.
