I have planted the above bushes and would like to know what care these should receive. I would appreciate any information that you could supply as to watering and caring for them. I live in Virginia and believe the gardening zone is 7.
Thanks to common names, there is often confusion when it comes to the snowball bush. I am not sure if you have snowball viburnum or snowball hydrangea. At any rate, these articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/lilac/lilac-care-growing-and-planting-lilac-bush-plants.htm

It's mid June. Is it too late to cut back our lilac to 6-8"?
This article will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/lilac/pruning-lilac-bushes-when-to-trim-lilac-bushes.htm
It seems that the blooms on our lilac bushes are losing their purple color and are more whitish. Is there anything they are lacking that I could do so the blooms are darker?
Flower color may lighten as the flowers age.
There is not way to change the color of a lilac.
Keeping your plant healthy with care and pruning is the best way to keep flowers bright.
When we bought our home 14 years ago, there were 2 well established lilac bushes on the border of the yard. Over the years the bushes have begun to look a little haggard. This past spring, we cut them back to about 36" tall. New growth has sprung from the stumps; however, it seems that new branches are randomly dropping off of the original stumps. What is wrong? Are our bushed beyond saving?
This can happen on old growth of the tree base.
My own aged Lilac has lost a few branches from the older portion of the base of the plant.

Second year lilac tree/bush was planted and had lots of beautiful flowers. Hubby decided to cut it back in the fall and ever since, no flowers. It is now about 10 years old. Growing like crazy but no flowers. Did he ruin it completely?
You really want to wait until right after they stop blooming to prune. Pruning in fall will not kill it, but it will greatly decrease the blooms for next year, which sounds like what has happened with yours. I've discovered what I think is a fungus on my lilac leaves which is causing them to shrivel.
These tiny worm like growths are Spindle Galls. They are caused by the tiny Eriophyid Mite.
They form in the spring mostly and really don't harm the host plant.
I planted a yellow lilac bush about 3 years ago and it has never bloomed. It is in full sun. What can I do to get it to bloom?
It is likely a phosphorus deficiency. Fertilize it with a phosphorus rich fertilizer to help it bloom. This article will help:
