My kumquat tree is young (about three years old) and gave a large bounty of fruit the first year, but has since not produced any fruit. It is very leggy, as I have not pruned it, ever. I have not fed it lately either. Any suggestions? Thank you, Marv Eberhardt.
Providing fertilizer intended to support fruiting, with a higher amount of phosphorus and potassium and a lower amount of nitrogen, could help your tree. Also see these articles:

My kumquat true which is always prolific, seems to be suffering from something. It is loaded with fruit, but only the fruit at the top of the tree and on the north-west side is orange. The rest, although full size looks as if it has been frozen. But, We have not had a frost.
From this description it is difficult to know if you have a disease or insect issue.
It very well could just be that some of the fruit is not ripe yet.
I am listing several links that will help you pinpoint the problem.

Some of the leaves on my Kumquat tree are slowly going brown and drying out. the tree is 2 or 3 years old, is planted directly into the lawn in full sun and we live in the South West of England. The tree has never flowered but I live in hope! Is there something I can feed it to bring it back to full health? regards polly.
This could be a watering issue. Either too much or too little.
You should water your Kumquat deeply once a week during it's growing period.
Kumquat do not like soggy roots and need a well draining soil.
If it has rained, no watering is likely needed.
Also make sure you mulch with a hardwood mulch, but keep the mulch back 6 inches from the trunk of the tree.
Review the links below and check the nutrient and feeding requirements. Another area that may need attention.

I bought the tree from a reputable grower last summer. The tree leaves seem to be curling up and the plant doesn't seem to be growing. I did get about three dozen fruits a couple of months ago. Should it be flowering about now? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have 5 Kumquats planted as a screen in my yard. My problem is that the roots have surfaced and causing a problem with grass growth and lawn maintenance. Can the surfaced roots be cut without destroying the tree?

what is causing this on the kumquat fruit. No visible insects
This may be some type of an Anthracnose.
These links may help but I would suggest taking samples to your County Extension Office.
