Q.kumquat root system

Zone Columbia, SC | Anonymous added on May 10, 2017 | Answered

I have 5 Kumquats planted as a screen in my yard. My problem is that the roots have surfaced and causing a problem with grass growth and lawn maintenance. Can the surfaced roots be cut without destroying the tree?
