My tree has a single trunk-no branches. How do I prune it? It is 3 years old. It has never flowered. Stays outside from May-October in full sun. What do I do about this?

My Kaffir lime tree has started dropping leaves. Is this normal? The weather has just started to get a bit colder. I was wondering if that is why.
Kaffir Lime Trees are very sensitive to cold and the change in temperature can cause the leaves to drop.

I have a nice Kaffir lime on my patio. I've noticed some of the branches have gone bare and are dying. Any treatment for this?

What is a good soil type for a potted kaffir lime, sandy and drained or some good organic mix? Oh and do they like much liquid fertilizer? Thanks for your time. Regards Darren
You should use a loamy and well draining potting mix with plenty of organic material.
It is best to purchase a fertilizer that is specially formulated for Citrus and follow the application directions on the container.
Do not over fertilize you tree.

I own a kaffir lime tree for three years now. It is about 6 months per year inside the appartment. Everything was going well. Six months ago I moved to another place. Since then many leaves produce huge resin drops and the tree is dropping a lot of sticky tasteless resin. But the tree looks great and healthy. The average temperature is a bit higher due to more direct sunlight. What could be the reason for this behavior? How can I prevent this dropping to the floor? Thanks for ideas.
Thank you very much. In the meantime by using a magnifying glass I found a lot of scale insects (coccoidea). We washed the leaves and we will check them from now on.
You have either tow things going on here.
On the appearance of the leaf it looks like water, which some plant leaves can drip water-it's called transpiration or guttation.

What. Fertilizer should I use for indoor potted plants.
Fertilize your Kafir Lime Tree with a high quality citrus fertilizer in the spring and then again in late summer.
Follow the application directions on the fertilizer packaging.
