Hello! I bought some indoor plants yesterday and just noticed that my Jade plant and Spider plant have their roots growing out of the drainage holes! I have heard it's not good to re-pot plants too early, so what should I do in this case? Thank you!
Both of those plants actually prefer to be rootbound so there is no hurry to repot them. I would let them get acclimated to their new location a few weeks, then if you need to move them into a nicer container, do so. Only go up about one pot size to avoid overwatering.
My jade plant is very leggy. It is about 10 years ago but is climbing out of its pot. Can I prune it back? Or start again? or dump it? do you want me to send you a picture?

We have several jade plants, probably 3-4 ft. tall in outside garden. Most have 3-5 sections in them. Can we cut and separate to plant elsewhere? Thanks, Dorothy Phinney

First, thank your for the information. In the article it is mentioned to dry the cutting or use a rooting hormone, what is unclear to me is if using the rooting hormone do I still need to dry the cutting or do I go directly to planting? "In order to further make sure that disease does not infect the jade plant cutting, you can dust the open wound with rooting hormone, which will also contain an anti-fungal compound." Thanks for the info!
You will need to do both! Dry them AND use a dry rooting powder in order to obtain the best results.
branch but it still continues. I moved 2 months ago could it be still in shock?
This condition is most commonly a result of overwatering, which can cause the roots to rot.

The leaf just fell off. I watered it a couple of days ago. I make sure the soil is dry before watering it again.
It is likely a watering problem. The articles below indicate a shriveled leaf that drops may mean not enough water, although people usually tend to overwater their succulents. Take a look at how you are watering according to these articles:

I am new at jade here in philippines. howevcer, i just potted them using a loam soil only. i just read this article. Can I remove them from the pot again without hurting them and repot them again using a mix of loam soil and vermiculite? or can i use just the plain loam soil? Thanks!
It's best not to use garden soil for containers. You can purchase potting soil that is specifically for cactus and succulents and that is best to use. If you mix your own potting soil follow these instructions:
