I have a bug(beatle type) in my garden. It is eating holes in leaves of basil, lemon balm and Thyme. Can you tell mr what it is?
Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the insect in question. In the meantime, you could take a sample or photo to your local extension service and they can ID it for you.
Seen this in some water in my greenhouse today and quite frankly it freaks me out a little
I can't, quite, make out what it is from that photo. It looks like a beetle of some sort.

I was watering my indoor plant and a few of these guys wiggled up to the surface. Unfortunately, I took to the internet and found some awful human infection images and now I'm a bit concerned. Can you shine some light on if this is a harmful or helpful critter? Sincerely, Amanda
It appears to be a worm or larva of some sort. It is very hard to tell which from the photo. I would recommend taking photos and samples up to your local extension service. They may be able to help.
Jeyes Fluid is marketed as an antibacterial. According to several sources, using it in soil is illegal. We cannot give advice on this subject, other than to consult your local agricultural extensions.
The proper control for these larva will be nematodes. You will want to start applying these in July to be effective.

Your instructions to make a soap insect killer say don't use a dish liquid with a degreaser. But you're showing Dawn which definitely has a degreaser. Seems to contradict itself.
You are correct and I will forward your comment to our editor. Thank you for the heads up.
