What is the saprophyte that grows on honeysuckle? White or very pail green kind of looks like fungus, but very liquidy inside.
I would say that it is probably a gall. A photo of a honeysuckle gall can be found here:

My honeysuckle is eight years old and now the extremes of the plant seem to be dying or dead. There are new shoots lower down. What should I do?
If there is new growth around its base, those are suckers and this means the plant is stressed, likely from insect pests or disease. You can cut back the dead/dying growth to allow the new growth to continue. You can also treat the plant with neem oil to take care of any insect pests or fungus which may be affecting it. Other than that, just care for it as normal, though you may want to give it some additional water if the soil's dried out, and wait to see if its overall health improves.
What is the best way to attach honeysuckle to a trellis?
Simply wrap the plant's vine around the support and it should begin to grow up around it. These plants are very easy to train and will grow around nearly anything.
I have two honeysuckle vines/plants that are two years old, south facing, lots of sun and heat. One vine/plant bloomed beautifully but the leaves are yellow and have a bit of rust color around the edges. The other vine (separate plant next to the other), has green leaves but did not bloom and one of the vines just wilted one day. I used Miracle Gro once in early spring. I don't water often because the trellis receives run-off from our porch roof (it's been raining fairly regularly). We wanted these for privacy but they have proven to be slow growers height-wise as well. Thank you for your help!
Your plants are still quite young and may not be established quite yet.
I'm concerned that you said you are having quite a bit of rain and the roots sound like they are receiving the run off directly from the roof.
Is the soil draining well?
Honeysuckle would need well draining soil. Some organic matter would be a good idea to add and directing the water run off away from the roots.

Honeysuckle and blackberry bushes are taking over our blueberry bushes! How do we get rid of them? How do you stop the spread of honeysuckle and blackberry bushes in the blueberry bushes?
The most effective way to remove an invasive plant is to dig them up.

On our new honeysuckle plants, some of the leaves are showing a type of mold and are dropping off.
This could be Powdery Mildew.

Why does my honeysuckle come back only from the bottom each year? I want it to cover an arbor.
Your plant may have had some winter damage and loss.
Is the vine growing enough to began new coverage of the trellis?
Your Honeysuckle vine should be quite fast growing. If it is not growing you may need to make corrections to the growing conditions.
