What is the honeysuckle variety with a name that begins with W? Thank you. Michael Cleary, Hastings.
There are over 100 species of honeysuckle and many of these include multiple varieties and hybrids. Do you have any more information about the honeysuckle you are looking for, such as its flower color or where it was growing?
When and how best to transplant a grown honeysuckle plant (shrub, I think)?
I live in zone 5, IL 60004. I have a hedge of honeysuckle (40 years old). The hedge has been cut down several times to remove thick old wood and help encourage new growth. The last three years the leaves have not done well due to a fungal blight. I have tried some things but I'm not getting results. I'm looking for your expert opinion for prevention and treatment. I realize this shrub is out of favor, but I would like to improve its health and growth results. Thank you for your advice. Shel.
Here is how to determine whether your hedge has the disease called honeysuckle leaf blight:

Removing any infected, dead, or fallen leaves before or during winter is the most important control measure for that disease.
Here are some other diseases that can affect honeysuckle, but without knowing what the symptoms look like, it is difficult to tell which one your hedge might have:

You may want to consult your local extension service to see if they can help you diagnose the problem.
I have already diagnosed that my hedge has this fungus as I stated...Please reread my question and I hope you can give some advice. I don't find the links helpful at this point.

I have just got back from holiday to find my honeysuckle bush has been devastating eaten by something. It looks like snails but never seen anything like it before - any suggestions, do I just chop it back and let it grow again next year - all the leaves have been munched.
Inspect the shrub for any signs of pest.
Neem Oil can be used and will treat most sucking pests.
It's possible a critter such as rabbits or deer also could be the problem.

My honey suckle is a bush. It looked beautiful earlier in the Spring now it has lost all its blooms and has dropped a lot of leaves around the bottom. What do I do?
Some leaf drop is normal but excess leaf drop could be due to overwatering, dry soil or pests and disease.
Check the soil for moisture levels.
Inspect leaves and treat with Neem Oil if you find pests.
Make sure the soil is well draining.
Avoid any mulch touching the base of the plant.

My honeysuckle has black spots and leaves falling off, any ideas?
This is probably a fungal disease. I suggest treating it with neem oil or copper fungicide. This article may help

my vine is old. it bloomed this spring, bit now the leaves are turning yellow and mottled and the whole plant is dying back. What can I do to save it?
Yellowing leaves could be watering issues; drought or excess rainfall, pests, or more serious Leaf Blight.
Inspect the plant carefully for any other identifying leaves or markings on the plant.
Most pests can be treated with Neem Oil and fungus can be treated with a Copper fungicide application.
