Why are the leaves on my hibiscus turning yellow?
There are several reasons this can happen. This article explains many of them and will help you decide which is likely for your plant: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/answers-to-what-causes-hibiscus-leaves-turning-yellow.htm
Hibiscus has lost most of its leaves and the rest are yellow. Must I pull it out and let the ground soil dry out? I believe that between the rain we had and us watering it, it is just too wet.
You do not need to pull it out of the ground but do wait until the soil dries out before watering it again (of course, there's little you can do about the rain).
Some of my hibiscus leaves are turning yellow on otherwise healthy plant.

My Hibiscus plant has been doing well until recently. It is losing its leaves. Any ideas would be appreciated.

While the article is focused on yellow leaves, the reason for leaf drop is normally the same as what causes the leaves to turn yellow right before the leaves fall off. Most of the time, the hibiscus recovers just fine and the leaves will normally regrow.

The leaves are curled and very hard. The stems are also. I tried removing the smaller, almost rolled leaves, but this did not help. Does this sound like an insect infestation or ???
There are several things that could be causing leaf curl on your hibiscus. Drought issues are the most common issues, but soil pH, salt in the soil (or in the water if you use softened water). Aphids or a fungus can also cause this issue.
I would increase water to the plant for awhile and treat it with a pesticide and a fungicide. Neem oil is a good choice as it is both a pesticide and a fungicide and is organic and safe for people and animals.
You may also want to get your soil tested to see what the salt levels and pH are. This article will give you more information on that:

I have a red hibiscus and I would like to plant it in my yard. Do they need a lot of sunlight and do they need to be in a place where it drains well?
Yes, they do need a lot of sunlight and do like well draining soil. Just make sure that you live in a zone where it can survive.
