We have a patch of brownfield site with trees/bushes on it as well as grassy spaces. What is best to site a wooden compost bin? We are growing veg in our raised beds and have had already one summer's crops. Can you also recommend what our compost mix should contain for best outcome? Sorry no photos available.
You need an open area with good drainage to site your compost bin, so the grassy area would be ideal. Partial shade is best, too.

I have 11 rhododendrons and the rest of them hedges. What’s the best time to ask for pruning service? Thanks for the advice!
Spring flowering shrubs such as rhododendrons are best pruned after flowering to maintain shape. Remove dead wood at any time. Rhododendrons need little pruning unless the shrubs are overgrown.
Here is help for pruning rhododendrons and other evergreens.

in Australia are there common plants that have seeds that are covered with elaiosome for the winnowing ants to feed on? on a scale i can see, or at least under a X100 microscope?
Fortunately for you, it will not be necessary to do so. All you need to know is which species produce them. They must be attached to the seed for the ants to carry out the process, properly. They will, then, take the seed to the dispersal area once the elaiosome has been consumed.
It will be fleshy or fatty, however. Plants have developed this in order to reproduce by way of ant dispersal. Here is an article that will help:

Can I see zone 9 planting schedule for January? Thanks
January will include, mostly, indoor propagation in preparation for the growing season. This is from February to early December.
You will notice quite a bit of overlap from crops of December to crops of February. Attempting these overlapping crops during the month of January is likely to succeed to some degree.
The top list on this page will help you to know what to plant during the winter months:
Hi all, I'm looking to order some new kinds of seeds for my yard this year and don't see them available through my usual places. Has anyone used 'Weseeds.com' for example. Thanks, in advance,
g to end. I need where to buy the seeds, how to care for the item and this can be a flower, plant or fruit for a winter fall project for my students.
We don't recommend places for purchase, or offer anything for purchase, either.
Usually, experiments such as this are done with beans or peas. They are fast growing, and will complete their life cycle within a few months. This makes it ideal as a teaching tool.
Here are a couple of collections of articles that will help:
Hello there. I'm looking for a virtual gardening advice service whereby I can pay by the hour for someone to advise me regarding the landscape gardening I do around my house. Someone whom I can videoconference with, so we can not only see and talk with one another, but the gardening expert can see my garden in real time. Do you know if any such services exist, and if so, can you recommend any? Thank you.
I don't know of any such service, and we don't recommend vendors, just offer free gardening advice. Have you reached out to your local garden nurseries? They often provide landscaping service and might be willing to do it online.
