I have 40 year old very tall eucalyptus trees .The roots have caused a crack in a concrete shed and I m hoping that the trees have stopped growing by now.If not how can I stop them growing please ? Thank you very much.
They don't get used for lumber until they are about 75 to 100 years old, so this is when their growth, likely, slows down. Over half of their growth happens within the first ten years of the tree's life, but it will still grow, substantially, until it is not able to sustain itself.
Unfortunately, it will continue to damage foundations and buildings near it. The only way to slow it down will be to kill it. Since it is on its way to maturity, it may be necessary to have a local professional help with this task.
Here is an article that will help you to kill a tree:

I already have the plants, but I would like to limit the root spread to about six metres! As long as the tree grows to about the same height it'll do the job. (I ought to have bought nipophilia or something, but these are the right colour and I thought I'd just get away with it. Many thanks
If you are familiar with root pruning, and keeping trees in container, then it is possible. Otherwise, dwarfing requires grafting to a smaller statured root stock if you intend to plant in ground.

I hope you can help. We sprayed bug spray on a new eucalyptus shrub and have appeared to damage the ends. What should we do? It seems to have stopped new growth! See images attached Many thanks for a worried novice gardener Darren
You can treat this as similar to herbicide damage. Be sure to follow all instruction, very carefully, on the pesticide container to avoid damage to plants.

I purchased a rainbow Eucalyptus Tree.Transplanted it in a larger container until our rainy season started (Florida) I recently noticed that the lower branches were dying, leaves turning yellow. Contacted the company. They told me there were 3 reasons that would cause this. Two did not qualify. They told me that is may have lacked phosphorus. Put 1% around the tree. Please help.
I hope you live on a large property. These trees are capable of uprooting sidewalks and structures.
So, did it go from the nursery pot to a larger container to the ground? It may be suffering some transplant shock. Keep it well watered when rain is lacking. They also need full sun. Another thing you can do is remove the grass around the base and mulch it out to the canopy line. It won't have to compete for nutrients and water with the grass.

Hi there, I have a gum tree - unsure of variety, that has a sooty black covering of many of the brances and on parts of the leaves. Particularly concentrated around the smaller branches. Thje tree is about 10m tall. Any ideas on what I can do ? See images attached
If it's sooty mold, it could mean an insect invasion, so check for that. I may see cankers, too. These articles should help:

I have a couple of healthy stems in a bouquet. Is propagation from cuttings possible? Thank you.
It depends on the species, and it can be a little tricky. This article tells how:

Hello and thank you very much for the opportunity to ask my questions. I've attached four photos. I have three small Dollar Eucalyptus trees in the back patio and they all have these slits in their bark. My back patio is subject to the tremendous gale force desert winds we get here in Henderson, NV so I've tried to brace the trees so they don't get blown over. Could these slits be a result of wind stress bending? Or sadly, a fungus or canker or stress? They are only about 1.5 years old. The leaves seem to look okay. Not sure if they are supposed to or not but the trees did not lose their leaves over winter. These trees have to endure the horrendous summer desert heat here so that may be a complication when it comes to watering, getting too much or not enough. Since these are small trees, not sure if I need to prune extensively or not? But my main concern are the vertical slits in the bark each have and what that means for the future... Thank you!
The bark of eucalyptus trees does get craggy and peels. Yours looks similar to the normal photo in the article below.

Here is an article about bark splitting, but that is more common in cherry or maple trees. But you might like to compare the information.
