The daffodils are already coming up. Can I still transplant them?
It is not recommended you lift and move the daffodil while they are blooming.

I live in Massachusetts. We don't stop getting frost until May. My daffodils usually sprout in April. It is only February and they have already sprouted! I don't want the frost to kill them. Should I cover them with something? Thanks for your help!
This is a common occurrence with the excessively warm weather some regions have been getting this year. Mulching can help, as described in this article:

You can also cover them with upside-down buckets if you know a frosty night is coming.
I had to pull some daffodils up earlier than I wanted to. What should I do with them now?
If you are relocating them, you can go ahead and replant in their new location.
You can also pot them up in pots.
Drying and storing the bulbs is also an option.

For many years I have had several hundred come up and each year have added more and removed 'blind' ones. Tulips are intermixed as well. These have appeared and in flower, but only about 12 daffs have appeared and these are on the edge of the area! Thank you.
The most common reason for this is that the daffodils have become too crowded and need to be divided. The fact that those on the edge of the area have come up implies that this could be the problem. There are other possibilities, discussed in the following articles:

Our community has a sack of daffodil bulbs that were not planted in the Fall, but stored in an outside shelter in a dry space. The bulbs are still firm. Should we bother to plant them on April 9th? The location is Brooklyn, NY. Thank you for your help on this.
If the bulbs are still firm, and not dried out, go ahead and plant them. They may not bloom this spring, or may bloom late. Assuming they do grow they'll likely be back on a spring flowering schedule by next March.
Please advise me how to take care of my daffodils IN THE GROUND during the 117 deg days of summer in Mesquite, Nevada.
Your Daffodils will likely be dormant by this time in the summer, they will bloom early, die back and go dormant.
While dormant they should remain nearly dry.
