Will my chilli pepper regrow anymore flowers after those few have dropped off this year? I am growing them indoors and I have just found on your website that I should help pollinate the flowers, as no insects indoors, so is it over or can I expect and help to re-flower? Thanks. Marie
They will flower more. As you are growing indoors, you may have to help the plant along a little with pollination. When the plant flowers again, just give it a gentle shake once a day or so. Outdoors, peppers are pollinated by both insects and the wind. By shaking the plant a little, you are imitating the wind moving the plant. A fan will also work.
When do I pick Sereno peppers from my garden?
Sereno peppers will not get very large. You may pick them when they are about 1 1/2 inches or 2 inches long. If you leave them on the plant, some may turn red and you may pick them then.

Leaves are getting brown areas which have a spot at the center and seem to "bleed" out from there. Leaves and fruit are dropping. Saw a single small spider on plant but no nests under leaves. We've been fighting drought conditions but have watered regularly and recently have gotten good rain. Any ideas?
It has a fungus. Treat the plants with a fungicide and that should help.
How do know what kind of chili peppers I have and how do I know when it's time to pick them?
If you send us a picture, we may be able to identify them.
For most chilies, you can harvest them either green or colored. Green will be milder but more bitter while colored (red, yellow, orange or purple typically) will be sweeter but hotter.
Something is eating the leaves of my chili bushes and various other veggies in my garden. I cannot see any pests as they appear to be eating at night. I have tried a number of sprays with limited success.
If you are not seeing a pest eating the leaves, then it is likely slugs. This article will help with them:

The following link gives step-by-step illustrated directions on freezing peppers: http://pickyourown.org/peppersfreezing.htm
There is one leaf that has turned a light purple/black and there are two others that are starting to do the same, at the top of the plant. The plant looks good otherwise. There are six other plants around it that show no sign of leaf color change. The plants were transplanted three weeks ago in good improved soil.
If it's only 2 or 3 leaves, I wouldn't be too concerned. If the plant has 25% or more affected leaves, I would take a sample to my local agricultural extension office for identification and recommendations.
