August 23, 2018Q.Cactus is drooping
Not sure how to provide support for our cactus. Should we cut it into 2? Can we support it with doweling and should it be outside or can we put it inside? What size and shape of pot should we use for re-potting? How deep should the root system be planted? Thank-you Paula

August 24, 2018A.It's waterlogged. In a glass with no drainage is very wrong conditions for a cactus that likes well drained sandy soil. You may not be able to save it or straighten it at this point. But if you want to try, get it out of the glass immediately and repot into a pot with a drainage hole in the bottom, and use a cactus specific potting soil. Prop it with a rigid stake and wide plastic tie tape and see if it can eventually support itself when it dries and resumes growth.
You can have it outside during warm weather, but indoors is best in your winter cold period.

September 1, 2018Q.My cactus is yellow from one side
I got this cactus few weeks ago amd i mistakenly kept it in the sun for too long and it turned yellowish from one side and other side is perfectly green, what am i suppose to do to fix this, please help. Is it a sunburn or something else??

September 13, 2018Q.REPOTTING A CACTUS
I have a "red Moon " cactus it is only about 4 in. tall with one large branch/arm from that arm there is a long string like root coming out and dangling in the air and on the counter.the root is about 12" long. I also see roots coming up from the surface of the potting mix. it seems time to repot it but what do I do with the long root coming from the arm of the cactus? any ideas?

September 14, 2018A.You may re-pot these arms at any time, however they are ok with crowding as well. So as for the root... If you want to plant that arm, it will give it a head start. If you don't. you can leave it or cut it. either way will be fine.

Certified ExpertA.This can be quite a complex issue. Usually, this can happen from, both, underwatering and overwatering. It should be let to dry out, but not for too long. This can cause the symptoms listed.

We do not sell plants from this information site.You can do a computer search for plant sources. Also try Ebay or Etsy for more unusual plants.
