I have been taking care of this cactus for around 15yrs, it is 50" tall and 5" thick at the widest part. It is getting too big for me to carry inside for winter and outside in the spring. I love this plant and don't want to see anything bad happen to it. Would it be possible to cut it and repot it so I can handle it easier?
You can carefully take a cutting of the top and root it, but this must be a sterile process, or you could lose both pieces. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/scgen/propagating-cacti-and-succulents.htm
I had my small cactus in the window today, and the cat decided to knock it over. It fell about 3 feet right on its top, now there is a little mark that seems to be getting darker. Is he going to survive??
Yes, it will likely callous over very soon. You can wipe the wound with peroxide, and it will help the recovery process.
I bought about 10 cactus and succulents last week and replanted them in pots to keep on my outdoor balcony. Upon further inspection I'm realizing one cactus may be rotting? It's on the lower part of the plant looks kind of like bar so I'm not sure if I should try to cut it out? I have other plants in the same pot so I don't want it to spread to them.
That is a very strange dead growth. I would remove it, and then wipe the area with peroxide to prevent further infection. Make sure to only water when fully dry to prevent any infection in the future.
I have a potted torch cactus that really needs a larger pot. It has several small buds starting. Will repotting cause the buds to drop or will they continue to mature into flowers?
You may want to wait until after flowering, as repotting could knock off the buds.
Dear gardeners, I was wondering if you would be able to identify the cacti i bought a while ago. They didn't come with any information so i'm not sure on what type they are and how to care for them in the best way possible, since i'm just a newbie to keeping plants. I will attach a picture of them to this mail. Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Amber Saenen

Something is severing the leaves of my Catus plants in my container garden in Arizona
It's difficult to diagnosis the cause without photos or description of the site and plants. I can guess on possibilities: mechanical damage from yard work, kids or pets playing, rodents, fungal disease?
My red cactus has gotten a brown spot on it's head. What causes this? It is right next to three other moon cacti, yellow, orange and pink. Should I remove the red one so it does not contaminate the other cacti or succulents in my terrainium? Thank you
Yes, I would certainly isolated the infected Cactus.
