What is going on with my sweet basil? Some of the leaves toward the top of the plant appear to be deformed and holey, almost like something is eating it, but I've never seen any bugs on it. pinch from the top of the plant (or end of branches). It will regrow and no bare spots.

It is hard to say for certain what type of caterpillar these are, but Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) spray can quickly eradicate these leaf and stem-eating worms. It is a safe, biological insecticide.
