Q.Sweet Basil

Anonymous added on July 31, 2011 | Answered

What is going on with my sweet basil? Some of the leaves toward the top of the plant appear to be deformed and holey, almost like something is eating it, but I’ve never seen any bugs on it. Are the holey, deformed leaves safe to eat? Do you think it is a bug? Is there anything I can do to remedy the problem?

It is most likely slugs. They LOVE basil and they only come out at night. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/facts-about-slugs-and-how-to-kill-garden-slugs.htm
