This plant is flourishing very well in a conservatory but I would like to know more about it. It seems to die off then re-bloom every 4 months
Can I plant 2 small azalea plants in October (Zone 6 - Maryland)? Will they make it through the winter and bloom in spring ?
Yes, azalea shrubs transplant well in the fall. Make sure to water it and add some mulch around the base to help insulate the roots over winter.
I have 40 year old, and tall, azaleas in front yard. Since spring flowering, some of plants (not sure about roots) have turned black and died. The bark facing front is jet black. Is this a rot problem, disease or infection? A few branches, but not many, show white at forks which may be the moss you describe.
It sounds like you have Azalea Bark Scale, which is a pest and is somewhat treatable. The pests themselves are very hard to spot, especially when the scale problem is coupled with a sooty mold problem, which is commonly found on plants that have bark scale and sounds like what you have. Most pesticides will not work, but we have found neem oil to be very effective against scale and it will also help treat the sooty mold problem.

After trimming my azaleas, they have produced a green thick bulbous growth on them like a large seed. Could you advise what I can spray them with, please?
It sounds like azalea gall. This article will help:

They are not full, some limbs don't have leaves, causing them to look starved. The leaves that have produced are green but certain parts don't have nothing. I guess the leaves died and fell off. How do I bring it back alive in Virginia Beach, Virginia?
There are a number of problems that might be affecting your plants. I'm sending an article on azalea problems for you to look at, and examine your plants in light of the symtoms listed. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/azalea/common-azalea-problems.htm
However, your best course of action would probably be to take some samples of leaves and branches to the nearest county extension service, where professionals can diagnose your azalea problem. This link will help you find the nearest office:

We have 3 mature azalea plants that the majority of their leaves have turned yellow. What am I not doing properly to support these plants? These plants have done well in this flower bed for over 3 years. This problem just came up.
An occasional yellow leaf now and then isn't anything to get alarmed about. However, since this is affecting more than one plant, it could signal a problem. This article will help with common issues that cause yellow leaves: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/plant-leaves-turn-yellow.htm
It sounds like either a nutrient deficiency or a drainage problem. Have your soil tested, then amend the soil accordingly and make sure that the plants are not in standing water.
Also, just a thought, as this happened to me recently...check around the base of your shrubs for any burrow holes. Voles and chipmunks are known to occasionally burrow down around azaleas and then make dens in their root systems. This can quickly lead the to demise of your plants. Should this be an issue for you, the following articles may help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/animals/vole-control.htm

Several of my azalea bushes have a white feathery moss on them. Looks like moss. What could this be?
It is most likely lichen. It is not harmful to the plant, but if you want to get rid of it, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/fungus-lichen/treatment-tree-lichen.htm
If lichen is not the issue and it's indeed moss, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/moss/moss-on-plants.htm
