The cage will be 4m x 5m.
The mesh on the netting should be no larger than an inch (2.5 cm.). These articles should help:

Our garden has finally become successful. Successful enough that I'm not only freezing veggies, but learning how to can as well. Unfortunately, this success has also brought rodents. Rodents in the form of Pack Rats, which we trap live and release into the desert a few miles from our home. I was harvesting eggplant today, and noticed that on one particularly large eggplant, a rodent had eaten the end off of it. If I cut away the end, would the rest of the eggplant still be edible, or could the entire eggplant now have disease and bacteria on it just from the rodent eating the end of it? Thank you in advance and have a wonderful holiday season!!
You have to be careful they didn't leave any waste on your produce besides just nibbling. Plus they can leave waste in your soil and contaminate it.

There are small shallow holes in my garden area? Are these pests or is there some disease causing this. I'm in the Mohave desert, Kingman AZ 8B.
Unfortunately, there could be many things causing the holes in your lawn. Insects, rodents, and other mammals can dig holes to find roots and grubs under the soil.

COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW I CAN ATTRACT BIRDS TO RETURN TO MY GARDEN KIND REGARDS JOHN DUTFIELD (WEST MIDLANDS)
Unfortunately, feeding one will feed the other. If you must feed the birds, then you will be forced with the task of eliminating rodents. Your focus will need to be shifted towards trapping, eradicating, or repelling rodents.

I have had minimal success with plant or herb-based deer repellents. Do you have some other alternatives? Thanks, Konrad Kmetz
Deer will be difficult to keep away. They have even been known to EAT the plants that are supposed to keep them away.
You may have success with predator urine. I would choose something native to your area for the greatest effect.
