I inherited my mother's Amaryllis bulbs and I'm so afraid I won't be able to keep them going. I read about them and cut the leaves off and removed bulbs from the soil. I have placed all the bulbs in one big pot without soil. Now what should I do? I desperately want them to live and I just don't trust myself to understand completely. Mother always just brought the pots in and stored them in their soil in the dark basement. After years of beauty, not one of the bulbs bloomed for her this spring. (Maybe a sign, as we lost her in August). They grew leaves, but nothing else. They probably needed replanting, fertilizing, etc. but she was 98 and not really able to care for them. Please help me save these bulbs. Thank you so very much!
I've had Amaryllis grow leaves but no blooms, too, and it is disappointing. My issue was probably lack of fertilizer. Your bulbs need to rest before they bloom again if you want them to bloom around Christmas. Since you have removed them from soil, separate them in different containers so if one rots, it won't infect them all.
Let them rest in a cool, dark location such as a closet. After 8-10 weeks, they should be ready to pot up again and move to a sunny location. These articles explain:

Hello! I have two amaryllis that I bought two years ago and they bloomed in 2019 but didn’t bloom in 2020 and aren’t even sprouting leaf’s. What should I do with the bulb? Should I plant it outside and let nature take its course? Should I just leave it and hope it eventually sprouts??
They enjoy a dormancy to help them store energy for spring! Here is a collection of articles that will help you to grow them:

Hello, I bought this amaryllis plant a couple days ago but I think that thick piece is going to be the stem/flower. Will it bloom or did I buy out faulty one??
Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. This is, certainly, not the time of year for flowering, though.
Unlike some flowers, Forcing doesn't seem to be detrimental to their health. You will need to care for it, indoors, as an actively growing plant, however, until you can restore it to a more natural cycle.

My amaryllis has bloomed well 3x but keeps falling over as it is extremely tall Can I plant it in the garden or must I get a larger pot ?
Yes, you can plant Amaryllis outside in the fall. They typically bloom in the spring.

Hello, I bought an amaryllis bulb and it’s doing great! I was wondering what specific brand of fertilizer I should use. Also how often should I apply it and when I can apply it.
If you are growing it indoors it doesn't need to be fertilized with a houseplant fertilizer till you see leaves growing. Here is more:

I read your article on amaryllis care and the reason why you may get all leaves when you try to get it to rebloom again. I got a bulb last year. It bloomed and I kept the leaves to build up nutrients for several weeks then let it go dormant. I started watering it about 3 weeks ago but all that is growing are leaves. Did I perhaps let it go dormant too soon? If I let the leaves grow will I have more success with it blooming again next year? How long a period of dormancy does it need? (These were dormant for about 5-6 months) Thanks for any help you can provide!
I think yours went into dormancy too soon and didn't have enough time to replenish the bulb. When the amaryllis finishes flowering, cut off the flower stem, but not the leaves. Move the plant outside for the summer. Then in September, you will bring it inside for its dormancy period. Here is how:
