Amaryllis Bloom

Question

Hello, I bought this amaryllis plant a couple days ago but I think that thick piece is going to be the stem/flower. Will it bloom or did I buy out faulty one??

Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. This is, certainly, not the time of year for flowering, though.

Unlike some flowers, Forcing doesn't seem to be detrimental to their health. You will need to care for it, indoors, as an actively growing plant, however, until you can restore it to a more natural cycle.
