I have a bush/hedge growing in the back of my house that looks and smells like rosemary but does not bloom purple flowers. Could it be a different type of plant even though it smells like rosemary.

What color does it bloom, or does it? There are many types of rosemary, so it is definitely possible that this could be another variety. This article may help you determine what you have:

My rosemary blooms white. It is probably another variety of Rosemary!
