pruning tropical hibiscus

Can I cut my tropical hibiscus back before I put it in my greenhouse for the winter? It is about four foot tall. Thank you.

    Since you are planning to keep it indoors over winter, cutting it back some should not pose any problems; however, most hard pruning is generally performed in spring.
