Q.Oleander issues

Zone Dorset | Jay92 added on June 8, 2019 | Answered

Hey, the leaves were going yellow and dropping off. I then put it outside because it’s extremely hot in the conservatory. The flowers died off and the stems were slightly purple. We also had high winds which probably didn’t help. I’ve now brought it back in and cut the dead flowers off but to me it doesn’t look healthily. There is still purple/brown on the stems and some leaves. Can anyone help out?
Cheers

It looks to be overly wet. Though they do need plenty of water, they also need to dry out down to about 3 inches or so between watering.

They are, also, VERY HEAVY feeders! They will need to be fertilized often. This article will give you a little more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/oleander/growing-oleander-in-containers.htm
