Q.No Leaves on Hibiscus

Anonymous added on November 3, 2011 | Answered

My hibiscus is indoors now and the leaves turned yellow, are dry and have all fallen off.  Looks like a true fall tree! The soil seems dry on top, am not sure how it is down. Is it dead? Please advise.

It sounds like it has not been getting enough water and this has sent it into dormancy. It is probably still alive, but it needs to be watered more often. Water it as soon as the soil feels a little dry to the touch on top. It may take some time for the leaves to regrow.
