My Hibiscus Is Dropping Blooms Before They Open

I have a hibuscus plant in a container. I have recently repotted it. It has lots of colorful blooms but also it is dropping lots of buds before they have a chance to bloom. They seem to be snapping off at the joint right above the bud. Why is this happening?
